Guns Old Party

Make no mistake. The deaths of 19 second, third, and fourth graders and 2 teachers are owned by the Texas GOP. The blood is on the hands of the GOP.

We, Democrats, have pleaded for decades to get tough on gun safety, gun reform or gun control. Call it what you want. Democrats aren’t alone. We have been joined by law enforcement leaders from across the country. The GOP has responded here in Texas with more guns and now folks can carry without a permit.

Gov. Greg Abbott, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, Cancun Cruz, Speaker Dade Phelan and all the rest had a major role in what happened yesterday by doing absolutely nothing.

These arseholes are not looking after the safety of school kids across the state. They are looking after the interest of the gun manufacturers and the gun lobby. It is obvious. They won’t be spurred into action by the execution of eight-, nine- and ten-year-old kids in a classroom. In a fu_king classroom!

Texas U.S. Sen. John Cornyn was scheduled to address the NRA convention in Houston this week and his office conveniently put out this statement after the shootings yesterday afternoon.

“Prior to the tragedy today in Uvalde we had already informed the NRA he would not be able to speak due to a unexpected change in his schedule. He now has to be in D.C. for personal reasons on Friday.”

Fu_king liars.

Actress Valerie Bertinelli tweeted this yesterday evening:

We are not the greatest country in the world.

She is right. Let me add we are far from being a great state.

I put out this on Monday about yesterday’s election:

Who will be my new Justice of the Peace in Precinct 1?

Steve Duble.

Who will replace State Rep. Garnet Coleman in Dist. 147?

Jolanda Jones.

Who will be the Democratic nominee for Harris County Commissioner in Precinct 4?

Lesley Briones.

Who will be the Democratic nominees for Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, Comptroller and Land Commissioner?

Mike Collier, Michelle Garza, Janet Dudding and Jay Kleberg.

Will Jessica Cisneros win in CD 28 over Cong. Henry Cuellar.

Too close to call.

Who will replace Sen. Eddie Lucio in SD 27?

Morgan Lamantia.

On the GOP side, will George P. upset the crook Ken Paxton and will Sarah Stogner surprise RR Commissioner Wayne Christian.

P is done. Stogner lost.

Who will the GOP nominate to take on Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo?

Alexandra del Moral Mealer.

How bad does the GOP Georgia Governor beat Donald Trump’s candidate?

Very bad.

Having Ken Paxton on the ticket, the GOP up and down the ballot has given up the law-and-order issue.

On this somber Wednesday, I will make sure to call my kid sister Aida and wish her a happy birthday. Her and her husband Bobby dropped by Baytown this past Sunday to see my/her Dad.

We won last night and wrap up the homie this evening against the Guardians.
