Remember when a lot of folks were making fun of President Joe Biden. They were making fun of his stumbling and fumbling administration. They were also making fun of his stumbling and fumbling appearances. Not so much now.
The mid-terms don’t look so bleak now for Democrats. GOP Sen. Mitch McConnell admitted as much yesterday. I told someone a few months ago that these were not going to be typical mid-terms. We still have the Big Lie and January 6 front and center. Donald Trump is still out on the stage. Roe got invited to the party. We are still in a pandemic. The GOP is a wacko organization. We have never had mid-terms under these conditions.

As far as Commentary is concerned, Deshaun Watson should have been kicked out of the NFL. The NFL is insulting H-Town by letting him play his first game back at NRG in December. The NFL said he will be fined $5 million and the fine will go to charities. The $5 million should go to H-Town area charities.

Commentary doesn’t know everything, and everybody knows that. I didn’t know who female singer and songwriter Jax was until yesterday. I had on the fourth hour of “Today” on the flat screen when Hoda and Jenna brought out Jax as part of the in-studio concert series.
The lead-in to her introduction included the bullying issue and then she started singing a tune called “Victoria’s Secret” which got my attention. It turns out it is a very good tune, and you need to go find it and watch it. There is a video of her performing it with dancers in front of a Victoria’s Secret store. It is a tune that certainly makes a statement.

Yankee great Bobby Richardson is 87 today. He was a second baseman for 12 years with the Yankees from 1955-1966, Three World Series rings, an eight time All Star, five Gold Glove Awards and a 1960 World Series MVP. His 12 RBIs in the 1960 World Series is a record that stands today. The Yankees lost that series to the Pirates in seven. Happy Birthday, Bobby Richardson!
Former Astro Josh Fields is 37 today. He is out of the game now. Josh Fields is known to many Astros fans because in 2016, we traded him to the Dodgers for Yordan Alvarez. Happy Birthday, Josh Fields!

Commentary has always said that baseball is the best game – period. We went to Chicago and lost the first two games 4-2 and 4-3. We won two nights ago 3-2. We exploded yesterday afternoon with a 21-5 massacre.
I have to give it to the White Sox organization on their sense of humor. Here is what they tweeted after the game:

We are in The ATL this weekend. The last time we were there were for Games 3, 4 and 5 of last year’s World Series. October 29-31 to be exact. The ATL took Games 3 and 4. The ATL is playing good baseball these days as they are trying to catch up to the Mets in the NL East.
