An Endorsement

The Gulf Coast Area Labor Federation endorsed State Sen. John Whitmire for H-Town Mayor yesterday.  The featured image is from a tweet that was posted last night.

A major endorsement. Huge. Nice.

Folks know by now that Commentary is helping The Dean.

Bob Uecker is 89 today.  He played 6 years in MLB as a catcher. A .200 career batting average and 14 career dingers. 3 of the 14 dingers were off of Hall of Fame greats Ferguson Jenkins, Sandy Koufax, and Gaylord Perry. Dinger number 14 was against the Astros. Happy Birthday Bob Uecker!

Here is from the Chron sports section today:

Seventy-four days after he parted ways with James Click, and with less than three weeks until pitchers and catchers report to spring training, Astros owner Jim Crane said there is “not really” a timeline to hire a new general manager.

“We’re still searching,” Crane said Wednesday night before the Houston Sports Awards, held at the Wortham Theater. “We’re scanning the crowd right now. No, look, we’re still working on it. We’ll take our time and get it right.”

Commentary is not sweating this. The owner certainly knows what he is doing.
