Halloween Today
This is from the Chron on last night’s mayoral debate that aired on Channel 13:
U.S. Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee and state Sen. John Whitmire publicly clashed over the alleged audio clip of the congresswoman berating a staffer in an expletive-laden rant, as four of Houston’s mayoral contenders faced off in the final debate before election day.
Jackson Lee again sought to blame the recording’s release – which she has yet to authenticate – on Whitmire, who argued the congresswoman was trying to divert from the disturbing contents of the clip.

Oh, brother. Cong. Jackson Lee’s staffers made the recording. They obviously had a history with her expletive laced rants and decided to record her. One of her former staffers held on to the recording and decided to release it over a week ago.
It is not news that Cong. Jackson Lee treats her staff like sh_t. It finally caught up to her and bit her on the arse. The State Sen. John Whitmire campaign received a copy of the tape when everyone ese did.
She owns it pure and simple.

The H-Town Mayor tweeted this last night:
Senator John Whitmire is wrong. I did not vote for the measure allowing the State to takeover HISD to get the district attention. Legislators in the Texas House didn’t know the amendment had been added to the bill and there was no discussion. st
The bill passed in 2015. The Mayor was in the legislature in 2015. The Mayor is listed as voting for House Bill 1842, the takeover legislation. I can’t figure out what State Sen. John Whitmire got wrong.
