Thanksgiving Week

Commentary met First Lady Rosalynn Carter in 1978.  She was campaigning for Democrats in San Antonio, and I was involved in putting together the event.  I always admired her.

Gov. Greg Abbott’s voucher scam was soundly defeated in the Texas House Friday afternoon.  Good for Texas.

Early voting in person for the City of H-Town runoff elections begins one week from today.  Runoff mail ballots are supposed to be sent out tomorrow.

The featured photo is The Dean speaking at a LULAC breakfast Saturday morning. He was greeted enthusiastically.

At the LULAC breakfast, City Controller candidate Chris Hollins called out his opponent Orlando Sanchez for being a Donald Trump supporter. Orlando called out Hollins for letting Cong. Sheila Jackson Lee run him out of the race for mayor. That was funny.

Channel 2 news has turned the video of the H-Town Mayor calling consumer/investigative reporter Amy Davis rude into a promotional ad. That’s funny.

It is Thanksgiving week. I have the Christmas tunes on at my house and in my car.
