Guilty on all Counts

I had a feeling yesterday. When the Donald Trump jury asked for a reread of the jury instructions and a few transcripts, I had a feeling.  When news came out that the jury reached a verdict, I knew they had decided one way or the other with no hung jury, and I was hoping for a guilty verdict.

The featured photo is the front page of the Chron this morning. The front page is a keeper for sure.

I had MSNBC on my phone and NBC News on the flat screen yesterday afternoon.  I watched as MSNBC’s Ari Melber called out the guilty verdicts by count and NBC’s Laura Jarrett likewise. Wow!

Guilty on all counts. Finally. Justice for the racist rat.

I have said it before and let me reiterate. Democrats hold the moral high ground this morning and the GOP doesn’t. Democrats are sitting at Mile High Stadium and the GOP at Death Valley.

We all know the Trump story. A native New Yorker who scammed and cheated his way up the ladder of New York’s real estate business community. He wanted to be the king of the world in New York City, and it was his fellow Manhattanites who made him a convicted felon yesterday.

GOP leaders are now defending a complete jerk who cheated on his wife with Stormy Daniels, an adult film star, and paying her off to the tune of $135,000 to affect the outcome of the 2016 election. And don’t forget, coordinating with a national tabloid to kill the story about the Trump affair with Karen McDougal.

That is what your GOP is defending this morning. As Democrats, don’t let them off the hook. They are all immoral arseholes, so pounce on them.

This is what the crook GOP AG Ken Paxton put out yesterday:

“From the beginning of this sham trial, I stood by President Trump, and my support for him is stronger than ever. As Attorney General of Texas, I will unleash every tool at my disposal to fight this blatant corruption and political persecution spewing from New York and the Biden administration.”

Oh, yeah! What are you going to do, you pathetic crooked fool.

I just watched Savannah Guthrie from Today interview Trump’s lawyer, Todd Blanche, this morning. Blanche came across in the interview as a very defeated fella. Well, he did get his arse handed to him. Blanche also said they expected this verdict. Oh, well.

All of Trump’s legal issues have spawned an industry of sorts in the legal contribution sector department. Since I watch MSNBC, among my favorites are Catherine Christian, Kristy Greenberg, Lisa Rubin, and Andrew Weissmann.

This is in the Chron:

Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo said Thursday she plans to seek a third term in office in 2026.

Hidalgo told the Chronicle during a live virtual event that she is “really excited” to run for reelection. The county executive, who took a leave of absence last year for treatment of depression, said if she can tackle her mental health challenges, she can tackle another campaign cycle.

“Now, I feel I can do anything,” she said.

Go for it.

Channel 2 News KPRC-TV Investigative/Consumer reporter Amy Davis gets credit for key indictments at H-Town City Hall handed out yesterday. I still remember when the former mayor chastised Amy for asking questions. See this from Click2 News: ‘That’s classic public corruption’: Felony charges filed after ‘DRAINED’ Investigation into shady contracts (click2houston.com).

Nice job, Amy.

On this last day of May, the Astros begin a three-game series at The Yard against the Twins.  The Twins last played here in October for two in the ALDS.  We need some consistency in the win department.
