This is CNN

Folks know that Commentary doesn’t watch CNN these days. They went overboard in trying to please everyone.  Still, they got the deal to host the debate this Thursday evening. I will watch, but I don’t have faith that debate moderators Dana Bash and Jake Tapper will be up to the job.

Some of us still remember the featured photo. Hopefully they have learned from the past and not let the racist arsehole Donald Trump skate. Stay tuned.

I was kind of expecting this. See this from KPRC-TV Channel 2:

HOUSTON – KPRC 2′s beloved Chief Meteorologist, Frank Billingsley, is retiring after a distinguished career spanning more than three decades. His last day on air will be June 28, 2024.

Emmy Award-winning Meteorologist Anthony Yanez will succeed Billingsley as Chief Meteorologist.

Houston viewers first met Yanez in the summer of 2003 during KPRC 2′s team coverage of Hurricane Claudette, marking his debut on the air.

With more than 25 years of broadcast news experience, Yanez has found his passion in weather and holds seals of approval from prominent weather organizations, including the American Meteorological Society (AMS) and the National Weather Association (NWA). He was awarded the 2020 Best Weathercast by the Radio & Television News Association of Southern California.

I like Anthony Yanez. He has been handling the early morning weather shift at Channel 2 news. He will now be my go-to guy on H-Town major weather events.

Thanks to a Mariner loss last night, the Astros are now 5 ½ games back and Dollar Dog Night is this evening.
