Okay, since you asked, Diddy was one of the halftime performers at Super Bowl XXXVIII, err 38, in 2004, that was played here at NRG. That was the halftime show capped off by Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake. Nelly, Kid Rock, and Jessica Simpson also got halftime billing.

Mayor John Whitmire was on his game yesterday at his 2024 State of the City event.  The video intro of the Mayor was first rate with a bit if a campaign flair. The format was the Mayor sitting in a chair fielding questions from William McKeon, CEO of the Texas Medical Center. Pretty cool.

Congrats to Margaret and Matt Luna for welcoming their first child yesterday in San Francisco. They named the kid Louis Robert. He came in at 9 lbs. and 10 ounces. Matt is the son of my best friends Julie and Al. As my other best friend State Sen. Carol Alvarado said, “another little moon added to the family.”

“Today” is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month. Yesterday, the show had a piece on Eva Longoria’s newest venture, her investment in Siete Foods. See the featured photo with NBC News correspondent Morgan Radford, my niece Vero Garza, and Eva Longoria.

After the piece aired, “Today” co-host Hoda Kotb said she is a fan of Siete tortillas.

We won last night in extra innings. Jose Altuve got ejected for taking off his shoe and sock. We have a five-game lead in the AL West with 11 games remaining on the regular season schedule. We wrap up the roadie in San Diego late this afternoon.
