E-Day 2024
It is here. I usually don’t have much to say on Election Day. All the folks I know vote. Family, friends, acquaintances, they all vote. That is who we are.
_____
Today is the 108th day of the Vice President Kamala Harris campaign. She has done an outstanding job and has run a flawless campaign. She closed it out with class last night in Philly. In my lifetime, this is the best presidential candidate I have ever witnessed. Let’s hope it works out well for her, for us, and for America.
_____
I was out putting up signs last night. A Latina I ran into at Ingrando Park said she was voting for Vice President Kamala Harris. That’s good.
At every polling place within HISD that I visited last night, there was a Vote No on the HISD bonds sign.
_____
I just learned today on the third hour of “Today” that the “I voted” stickers were first introduced in 1987. Now you know.

The Chron’s Taylor Goldenstein tweeted this yesterday:
The day before the election, a bipartisan coalition of 51 attorneys general puts out a statement calling for a “peaceful transfer of power” + condemning “any acts of violence.”
Notably absent: Texas AG Ken Paxton, along with AGs in Indiana and Montana.
I am not surprised.

I am wearing Harris Walz 2024 gear today. I will deliver lunches to poll workers today. This evening, I will settle in and watch the returns on MSNBC. Those guys don’t BS.
Let’s hope for a great outcome this evening.
Make sure everybody you know votes.
