Señora Santa Claus

The lead story in the hard copy of the Chron this morning is about a bill filed in the Texas Legislature to allow armed drones to protect our public schools. It doesn’t explain how that would work. Sounds far-fetched to me.

I am sure the anti-DEI folks are trying to figure out a way to keep the Santa Claus family an all-white affair.  Once again, NBC and Macy’s rolled out a woman of color as Mrs., err Señora Santa Claus at the end of the nationally televised parade yesterday. She was played by Emmy Award winning actress Liza Colón-Zayas. See the featured photo. Liza is part of the stellar cast from “The Bear.” Santa was your standard fare Santa that you can find on your Coca Cola Christmas packaging. Nice.

Our family gathered yesterday for Thanksgiving Day dinner and ended up playing the Codenames board game. You must do some serious thinking to win. My team won.

Let’s see, there are plenty of college football, college basketball, NBA, and Hallmark Christmas movies on the flat screen today. You can go to your nearest theater to check out the latest flicks. You can go Christmas shopping. You can check out some great high school football playoff action including a couple of games at NRG. You have a lot of options.
