Bowling
Christmas Eve is one week from today. I am getting ready. It is too warm though.

I said this on Friday:
My subscription just went up to $109 and again, no heads up from the Chron.
The Chron sent me a letter yesterday saying I would be paying $27.25 per week for my Chron to be delivered every day to my house. That is $109 every four weeks. Got it.

The wards, not the awards. I am talking about the ward system in H-Town that we got rid of a long time ago. The Chron has a story posted on December 10, 2024, on the ward system and here is the headline:
Houston abolished its ward system 120 years ago today, but its legacy still shapes the city
Here is the entire story: Why does the city of Houston have wards? What the different wards mean.
I wonder how many folks in H-Town today can identify where the six wards are on an H-Town map. First Ward is the one nearest me. Third Ward is the farthest.

It is on. Commentary is talking about going bowling. Here are the Texas teams playing in college bowl games:
Sam Houston (New Orleans Bowl), SMU (College Football Playoffs Round 1), Texas (College Football Playoffs Round 1), UTSA (Myrtle Beach Bowl), Texas Tech (Liberty Bowl), Texas A&M (Las Vegas Bowl), TCU (New Mexico Bowl), Baylor (Texas Bowl), North Texas (First Responder Bowl), and Texas State (First Responder Bowl).
I think I got them all. The Bearkats start things off on Thursday evening.

I saw this online this morning on Alex Bregman:
MLB Network’s Jon Morosi identified the Boston Red Sox on Monday as the primary competitor with Houston for the two-time All-Star and two-time champion.
The featured photo is not Alex Bregman leaving us. I hope the Astros can get a deal done before Christmas Day.
