They Got Dick
Some of you have seen his TV ad that says something like “you better get Dick.” Well, it looks like the law got Dick. See this from the Chron:
A Houston-area insurance lawyer and Harris County Department of Education trustee was arrested in early March after allegedly assaulting his spouse, records show.
Police arrested Eric Dick around 6 a.m. March 7 after a welfare check to the couple’s Rice Military home, but a Harris County magistrate found the case lacked probable cause to continue. The allegation did not specify their relationship, the magistrate, Sharon Chu, noted in court documents the following day.
Dick was then released.
The wife had told police her husband tackled and punched her during an argument earlier that morning, Houston police spokesman John Cannon said. He locked himself in the bathroom, where he remained until officers arrived and coaxed him out.
Courtney Fischer, a Harris County District Attorney’s Office spokesperson, said prosecutors are still evaluating the case to determine how to move forward, including whether to present it to a grand jury. The office was poised to ask the magistrate to prohibit Dick from going 200 feet from the couple’s home.

The Huffines fella who is running for Comptroller tweeted this yesterday:
As Texas Comptroller, I will bring DOGE to Texas by exposing waste, fraud, and abuse in government. I’ll fight to return the savings to Texas taxpayers!
I hope Huffines goes on to say that all the waste, fraud, and abuse in state government is the result of the GOP being in control of state government for the past couple of decades.
