Veto Line
Gov. Greg Abbott can come out looking like a champ if he vetoes the THC ban. See this from the Chron:
Gov. Greg Abbott has been tight-lipped about whether he’ll sign the bill on his desk that would ban THC in Texas. I don’t envy him. There’s really no right decision.
“This is poisonous THC. No regulations whatsoever,” Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick railed about the current situation in a recent video. “No one knows what’s in it. And it’s more powerful … than what you could buy from a drug dealer on the street.”
He’s not wrong. But when it comes to THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, the principal intoxicant in cannabis, one person’s poison is another person’s antidote.
Abbott is a bully. Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick is a bigger bully. We know Patrick won’t back down. We kind of get the feeling that Abbott would back down. He doesn’t want to be bullied by Patrick.
I wonder if there is a betting line on an Abbott veto. Stay tuned.

I rely on my rearview camera in my ride. See this from the Chron:
Ford Motor Company is recalling almost 1.1 million vehicles due to a software issue that may cause rearview cameras to malfunction, increasing the risk of a crash, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration announced earlier this month.
The recall affects 1,075,299 Ford vehicles whose rearview camera image may delay, freeze or not display when in reverse, due to a software issue, the NHTSA said in a notice.
My Ford Explorer isn’t on the list. I wonder if drivers rely too much on their rearview cameras. I probably do.

Get ready for a mega wedding. I saw this online yesterday.
According to sources, Travis Kelce will get down on one knee and propose to Taylor Swift—it’s just a matter of when. On Monday, The Daily Mail revealed that an insider source says an engagement is on the horizon for the superstar couple, who have been dating for two years.
“Everyone is just waiting for Travis to ask her parents for her hand in marriage, her parents will say yes, and they can’t wait for them to get engaged,” said the insider. “Nothing seems to be imminent, but it will 100 percent happen. Taylor and Travis are treating this relationship as their last relationship, and when they get engaged, when they get married and when they start a family, it will be exactly when it is meant to happen.”
Unlike a royal wedding, this one will not be on the flat screen. The featured photo needs no explaining.
