I didn’t lose my power on Friday. I contacted CenterPoint and they said the rainy weather forced a postponement to today. A CenterPoint truck with a bucket is parked down the street, so today is the day, I guess. Even though you know you are going to lose power, it is still a bit stressful.

The MAGA meltdown over New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani continues. This time someone produced a video of him eating rice with his hands and MAGA is exploding. I don’t know about that. MAGA obviously doesn’t have a clue about cultures outside of MAGA world.

On “What’s Your Point” yesterday, attorney Nyanza Moore endorsed State Rep. Jolanda Jones for the Congressional District 18 special election and my friend Bill King for Harris County Judge. Bill was a panelist yesterday and said his wife would probably serve him with divorce papers if he ran.

I said at the beginning of the MLB season that the 2025 Astros were not a better team than the 2024 Astros. Last year, after 84 games, we were 43-41. This season, after 84 games, we are 50-34. We are past the halfway point of the season but still have a lot of baseball ahead. We have today off.
