Brian Wilson
Well it’s been building up inside of me
For oh I don’t know how long
I don’t know why
But I keep thinking
Somethings bound to go wrong
But she looks in my eyes
And makes me realize
And she says don’t worry baby
Don’t worry baby
Don’t worry baby
Everything will turn out alright
Don’t worry baby
Don’t worry baby
Don’t worry baby
These lyrics above are what come to mind when I think of the great Brian Wilson who just left us. I can proudly say that my vinyl collection includes nine Beach Boys albums. See the featured photo. I have two copies of “Pet Sounds,” regarded by many as the best album of all time.
I saw the Beach Boys in concert. I also remember buying the newly released Beach Boys albums at Kmart and Sears. Brian Wilson was one of the greatest musicians of all time.

Cong. Wesley Hunt is letting us know that he is clearly a MAGA clown. See this from the Chron:
Judge Lina Hidalgo rejected U.S. Rep. Wesley Hunt’s offer of federal assistance ahead of nationwide protests planned for Saturday, according to a Wednesday statement from her office.
Hunt made the offer in response to the No Kings protest, which is scheduled to begin 10 a.m. Saturday at Houston City Hall. The Houston protest is one of more than 1,000 demonstrations planned to take place on the same day as President Donald Trump’s birthday and a military parade in Washington D.C. commemorating the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army.
“Harris County remains fully committed to the safety and constitutional rights of all residents,” Hidalgo said in a statement. “I have full confidence in our local law enforcement agencies, which are fully equipped and prepared to safeguard peaceful demonstrations, while ensuring the well being of all involved. These agencies bring decades of institutional expertise in managing lawful, large-scale gatherings where our residents can express their constitutional right to peacefully assemble.”
Hunt penned a letter to Hidalgo and Houston Mayor John Whitmire in the wake of the federal crackdown in Los Angeles advising both leaders contact his office should local law enforcement need assistance. Whitmire said the letter, which characterized the Houston demonstration as one of more than 1,800 “riots” planned across the country, did not accurately represent Houstonians or the city’s history of peaceful protests.
And this:
Hunt accused Hidalgo of being on “vacation,” and said his office had not received a response by around 11 a.m. Wednesday. Hidalgo published her statement less than an hour later.
“Judge Hidalgo is gallivanting around France, on vacation, at a time when Harris County needs her most,” a representative for Hunt’s office said in response to Hidalgo’s statement. “Has she booked a return flight home yet in time for the massive demonstrations that will take place in our beautiful county?”
Cong. Hunt is from H-Town but is acting like he doesn’t know H-Town, doesn’t know our DNA, and doesn’t know who we are and how we conduct ourselves. He knows better. He shows disrespect to the folks he represents. Plus, he knows full well that Judge Hidalgo is on a trade mission. What a moron.

Not to be outdone, see this from the Trib:
Gov. Greg Abbott announced late Tuesday that he would deploy Texas National Guard troops across the state in anticipation of protests against federal deportation raids.
In a social media post, Abbott said the troop deployments were intended to “ensure peace & order.”
“Peaceful protest is legal. Harming a person or property is illegal & will lead to arrest,” the governor said. He did not specify where the National Guard would be sent.
Let’s just call this what it is. Provocation. Gov. Abbott is hoping for the protests to get out of hand so he can look like a tough guy. This guy will never be a tough guy. This isn’t how tough guys act.

The Astros won last night, and we have a four-game lead in the AL West. Nice.
