Sir Paul

Sir Paul McCartney is 83 today. Happy Birthday, Sir Paul!

He is still going strong 19 years after turning 64.

I can say that I have seen him in concert 3 times. In 1976 at The Summit for the Wings Over the World tour.  At Reunion Arena in Dallas in 2002. And at Toyota Center in 2005.

“Venus and Mars,” “Jet,” “Maybe I’m Amazed,” “Lady Madonna,” “Live and Let Die,” “I’ve Just Seen a Face,” “Blackbird,” “Yesterday,” “My Love,” “Listen to What the Man Said,” “Silly Love Songs,” “Band on the Run,” “Hello, Goodbye,” “Jet,” “All My Loving,” “We Can Work It Out,” “Mother Nature’s Son,” “You Never Give Me Your Money,” “The Fool on the Hill,” “Eleanor Rigby,” “Here There and Everywhere,” “Back in the U.S.S.R.,” “Can’t Buy Me Love,” “Let it Be,” “Hey Jude,” “The Long and Winding Road,” “I Saw Her Standing There,” “Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (Reprise),” “The End,” “Magical Mystery Tour,” “Drive My Car,”

“Till There Was You,” “Got to Get You Into My Life,” “I Will,” “For No One,” “Fixing a Hole,” “I’ll Follow the Sun,” “Too Many People,” “She Came in Through the Bathroom Window,” “Good Day Sunshine,” “Penny Lane,” “I’ve Got a Feeling,” “Get Back,” “Helter Skelter,” and “Please Please Me” are among the tunes Sir Paul has played at his concerts I have attended.

In 2002, at his concert at Reunion Arena, Sir Paul played “Something” with a ukelele that he says was given to him by George Harrison.

His music has been a part of my life for over 60 years. So many tunes, so many tunes.

The featured photo is the cover of the “Band on the Run” album that was released in 1973. I always thought it was a cool cover because acting greats James Coburn and Christopher Lee are in the photo.
