New Maps
Texas Monthly reads Commentary.
I said this yesterday about Gov. Greg Abbott’s response at a presser on Tuesday:
His response was borderline bizarre and one hundred percent pathetic.
Then Texas Monthly put out a story about Abbott’s response and here is the headline:
Greg Abbott’s Bizarre Postflood Football Analogy
Here is the entire Texas Monthly read if you can access: Abbott Could Have Met the Moment. Instead, He Ranted About Football.

Speaking of bizarre, Abbott has called a special legislative session to deal with a myriad of issues including congressional redistricting. I am curious to see the first set of congressional maps that MAGA will present. I am thinking the look of the new maps will border on the bizarre. I am also thinking that MAGA may be overplaying their hand, like the voters will not buy into drastic changes to congressional boundaries. Show me the maps.

The Astros have now lost three in a row. They had a great roadie and then came home to Daikin Park and got swept by the Guardians. I was there last night.
Astros third baseman Isaac Paredes was added to the AL All Star team. Astros pitcher Hunter Brown will start Sunday’s game, meaning he won’t play in next week’s All Star game.
We have today off. The featured photo is a nice ride that sits at Daikin Park.
