The person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk is in custody. His name is Tyler Robinson, he is 22 years old, and according to a law enforcement press conference in Utah this morning, he didn’t like Kirk. I think the shooter’s actions a couple of days ago indicated that.

At the same press conference, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox said, “young people loved Charlie, young people hated Charlie.”

MAGA folks want folks who don’t say nice things about Charlie Kirk fired from their jobs or banished from the country or put in exile, or something like that. Say good things about Charlie Kirk, be considerate, keep your mouth shut, or else. Commentary gets it.

Here locally, MAGA State Rep. Briscoe Cain wants some teachers fired over in Baytown for saying something along the lines that Charlie Kirk was asking for it. Same for Matt Dowd and MSNBC. Commentary gets it.

Some of these MAGA folks who are calling for action against the inconsiderate ones are the same folks who lauded the pardons of the January 6 insurrectionists. Commentary gets it. You get it, too.

After our loss yesterday afternoon, we are now tied for first place with the Mariners in the AL West. I am not surprised since we are not playing good baseball. Forget the injuries, we are just not playing good baseball. The players are going to have to start playing better baseball and that starts this evening in The ATL.

All I can do is rely on my superstitions at this point of the season. Which lids do I wear like in the featured photo. What T-shirts, socks, and even colors do I put on. I do what I can to help the team.
