Latinas in the Morning
Say what you want about the NFL. The NFL can’t be whitewashed. Look at their players, who attends their games, and their fan base. The selection of Bad Bunny to be the 2026 Super Bowl halftime performer is not sitting well with some within MAGA. See this from the Daily Beast:
Trump advisor Corey Lewandowski has threatened that ICE agents could potentially deport attendees at Bad Bunny’s Super Bowl LX halftime show.
Conservative influencer Benny Johnson, 38, asked Lewandowski on The Benny Show on Wednesday morning if ICE would be present at the Super Bowl.
Lewandowski, 52, responded: “There is nowhere you can provide safe haven to people who are in this country illegally. Not the Super Bowl and nowhere else. We will find you and apprehend you and put you in a detention facility and deport you. Know that is a very real situation under this administration, which is contrary to how it used to be.”
Lewandowski added, “It’s so shameful [the NFL has] decided to pick somebody who seems to hate America so much to represent them at the Halftime Show.”
Bad Bunny, 31, is Puerto Rican and a U.S. citizen.
Fellas like the punkarse Lewandowski are the ones who are consumed with hate. They hate opposing views. They hate MAGA critics. They now hate the NFL for picking Bad Bunny.
I am thinking as usual the Super Bowl ticket is a tough one to get your hands on. I really don’t think that ICE targets will be attending the Super Bowl when they can just watch Bad Bunny on the flat screen.
Punkarse Lewandowski is just fuming because an ICE critic will take the stage at halftime of the country’s most watched sports event of 2026.

When it comes to professional sports in the USA, I tend to pay more attention to the players than the front office. Fans attend and watch pro sports because of the players, not the front office. The controversy within WNBA is another instance of a tone-deaf front office. More fans are gravitating toward the WNBA because of the players, not the platform. Fans buy the jerseys of the players. They line up for autographs from the players. They take selfies with the players. It is going to be interesting to see how the WNBA Commissioner gets herself out of this latest mess she created.

I am not a fan of H-Town’s Second Baptist Church. I don’t agree with what is preached over there. According to the Chron, it looks like greed is a focal point in a legal fight among some big time Second Baptist congregants. Isn’t greed one of the seven you know what that Christians preach against. Talk about major league hypocrisy. They deserve it.

The lead editorial in today’s Chron hard copy is titled “Astros’ loss is good for America” by Evan Mintz, Editor for Opinion and Community Engagement. Mintz tries to make a case that MLB is like a democracy that you win some and lose some. The problem with his case is MAGA when they lose don’t acknowledge or accept losing. Baseball also has rules. MAGA doesn’t play by the rules. Oh, well.
Go check out Evan’s editorial.
