MAGA Line

Thanks to the MAGA federal government shutdown, the lines at H-Town’s IAC was three hours long this morning. See the featured photo from KPRC Channel 2 News. That is what you call the MAGA line. That is what folks voted for last year.

Tomorrow is election day. Folks know who I voted for in CD 18 and At-Large 4. I hope they both make the runoff.

There will be around 600 voting centers open in Harris County tomorrow. The higher voter turnout centers tomorrow will be the ones that served as early voting centers.

Rawlings has announced that IF/OF Mauricio Dubón has won the American League Gold Glove Award for the utility spot.

Dubón is the first player in Major League history to win multiple Gold Glove Awards at the utility spot. He made starts at second base (37), shortstop (24), third base (15), left field (15), center field (10), right field (2) and first base (1). Dubón is the first player in franchise history to start at seven different positions in consecutive seasons, and the 17th player in Astros history to receive the Gold Glove Award.

By winning a Gold Glove, Dubón is now eligible for the Rawlings Platinum Glove Award, with fan voting beginning online tonight at 7:30 p.m. CT at www.Rawlings.com. Voting will remain open until 10:59 p.m. CT on Nov. 5.

The Rawlings Platinum Glove Award winners will be unveiled at the Rawlings Gold Glove Award ceremony on Friday, Nov. 7.
