Veterans Day

Remember when MAGA Gov. Greg Abbott said this about Prop 50 chances of passing in California:

“So, I think the probability of anything passing is very minimal.”

It got 64% of the vote. Gov. Gavin Newsom punked Abbott.

Some Democrats are not happy with Sen. Chuck Schumer’s leadership skills during the recent MAGA shutdown of the federal government. I get it. I am not a big fan of Sen. Schumer. Schumer does not come anywhere near Harry Reid. Sigh.

Despite what MAGA is spinning today, voters know it was a MAGA federal government shutdown.

Folks know my dad was a World War II vet. I still have his military separation papers as in the featured photo. He was also a paratrooper and had one combat jump. He also fought in the Ardennes in the Battle of the Bulge.

I always enjoyed my conversations with my dad about his service and paratrooper training. He had a few funny stories about his training jumps.

To my knowledge, I think Yogi Berra is the only Baseball Hall of Fame member who fought at Normandy on D-Day. Just saying.
