Forty-five years ago today, John Lennon was gunned down in New York City. I remember.

Cong. Jasmine Crockett ran former Cong. Colin Allred out of the race for U.S. Senator. See this tweet from this morning:

@ColinAllredTX

I am deeply moved by the personal stories and trust that so many Texans have placed in me. I’m forever grateful and believe it comes with heavy responsibility. That’s why I’ve made the difficult decision to end my campaign for Senate and run to represent the newly drawn CD-33.

Former Cong. Allred will now take on Cong. Julie Johnson in the Democratic Party primary.

This is going to be an interesting day for sure.

I guess there was a payoff mix up here. See this from the Chron:

President Donald Trump lashed out at U.S. Rep. Henry Cuellar on Sunday, accusing the Laredo lawmaker of disloyalty for filing to run for reelection as a Democrat shortly after Trump pardoned him and his wife of serious corruption charges

In a lengthy social media post, Trump pointed out it was the Biden administration’s Department of Justice that pursued the case against the Cuellars. He slammed Cuellar for “continuing to work with the same Radical Left Scum that just weeks before wanted him and his wife to spend the rest of their lives in Prison – And probably still do!”

“Such a lack of LOYALTY, something that Texas Voters, and Henry’s daughters, will not like,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social Sunday morning. “Oh’ well, next time, no more Mr. Nice guy!”

Keystone korruption for sure.

I saw this tweet yesterday:

@FoxBusiness

NEXT EPISODE: The Trump administration reportedly has reservations about Netflix’s proposed takeover of Warner Bros. — one of Hollywood’s oldest movie studios — as regulators prepare to closely scrutinize the $72 billion deal.

In other words, Trump is trying to figure out his grift on this deal.

I watched the college football playoffs selection show yesterday. There will always be folks who think the selection committee got it wrong. Don’t lose games is all I have to say about that.

I lost all respect for Notre Dame. The entire institution. The Fighting Irish at 10-2 didn’t make the College Football Playoff so they decided to skip the bowls. Sore LOSERS for sure.

Since you asked, we all know that there will be seven World Cup matches at NRG next June and July. On Wednesday, June 17 at noon, Portugal will face a still-to-be-determined opponent. That same day, the Astros host the Tigers at Daikin Park. On Saturday, June 20, at noon, the Netherlands will face a still-to-be-determined opponent. That same day, the Astros host the Guardians. On Monday, July 29, there will be a knockout round match at noon. That same day the Astros host the Twins.  And on Saturday, July 4, there will be a knockout round match at noon. That same day the Astros host the Rays. Got it.

Jeff Kent in the featured photo is going to the Baseball Hall of Fame. Kent played for the Astros in 2003 and 2004. He had 200 RBIs, 49 dingers, 3 post season dingers, and made the NL All-Star Team as an Astro. Congratulations!
