Merry Christmas

The Christmas ornament in the featured photo is just that. It is just the greatest band of all time on their logo of their movie “Help!” The flick had some great tunes like “Help,” “Ticket to Ride,” “You’re Going to Lose That Girl,” “You’ve Go to Hide Your Love Away,” “I Need You,” and “Another Girl.”

On this Christmas morning, the following are lyrics from a Blake Shelton Christmas tune that has been played in a few Hallmark Christmas flicks over the past few years:

Now, it’s Christmas, Christmas
I’m hurryin’ on my way
Christmas, Christmas
Like I’m riding in a one horse sleigh
Well, I don’t have to hear no Jingle Bells
Just the ringing of the phone
Mama just called and said it’s time
For me come on home

The tune is called “Time for Me to Come Home” and is on my Christmas tune playlist.

My friend Nick Hellyar is running for H-Town City Council, District C in a special election in the Spring of 2026. Today is also Nick’s birthday. Yep, he was born on Christmas Day. Where do you think the name Nick came from. Happy Birthday, Nick.

During this Christmas season, it should not be that difficult to just say “Merry Christmas” and leave it at that.

Yesterday evening I made a couple of visits and spent time with good friends. We shared great conversations and excellent grub. Today I will spend the afternoon with my family and enjoy Christmas. That is what Christmas is all about.

Be safe on this Christmas Day and have a Merry Christmas.
