H-Town ICE

ABC 13 Houston tweeted this yesterday:

$60K in tax dollars are funding Mayor Whitmire’s new podcast, according to city records

Some folks want the H-Town Mayor to use the city’s TV facilities to do his podcast to save money. Nope. I was watching the H-Town city council meeting yesterday through the city’s TV channel. It kept freezing up and going blank. The city needs to totally revamp its TV channel.

Breitbart News tweeted this yesterday:

A voter in Virginia says if Democrats gerrymander the state, he will consider moving to Texas or Florida.

Texas? Gerrymander? Dumbarses.

Well, they started it. It started in Texas last year. Thank you, Virginia.

I tried watching the H-Town city council meeting yesterday. See above on the city’s TV channel. See the featured photo. I will also watch it this morning.

HOPE, the union who represents H-Town municipal employees, cautioned city council that a loss of $114 million in public safety grants could cause layoffs of up to 2,000 employees. Some council members pushed back and asked if HOPE was provided with talking points by the administration. Some council members also questioned how HOPE came up with the 2,000 figures.

Let me help with that. If the city has to make up the $114 million, history tells us that public safety employees will not be cut. So, HOPE is on point.
