Mother’s Days for Two

Texas Monthly posted a story on former President George W. Bush a week ago and here is the headline and sub-headline of the story:

How Texas Republicans Turned on George W. Bush

The man who delivered Texas to the GOP is now one of its chief targets. What gives?

Here is the story: How Texas Republicans Turned on George W. Bush – Texas Monthly.

That is your MAGA world in Texas. This isn’t your 1994 Texas GOP.

I would go on to say that the most famous Bush these days is Jenna Bush Hager. She is part of the “Today” show. She is co-host of the hour long “Today with Jenna & Sheinelle.” She is an author and has her Read with Jenna book club and promotes a featured book every month. She is an advocate for reading books. She will soon be launching a new show for NBC as a producer. Not bad for a kid who once was on the cover of People magazine with the headline “Oops! They Did it Again,” and on the front page of a New York City tabloid with the headline “Jenna & Tonic.”

The featured photo is Jenna as Anna Wintour, Global Chief Content Officer of Condé Nast, during last Halloween’s “Today” show.

The Astros are 15-23 and some wannabee MLB experts are now talking about making trades to start rebuilding. Shut up! First, we don’t have much to trade. Hey dummies, look at the picture. There are 15 teams in the American League. Only 4 teams have winning records. I don’t want to trade Christian Walker, our second most productive hitter. We are not going to trade Yordan Alvarez. Shut up!

I will drop by Saint Arnold Brewery this evening. They are having game watching get together for season ticket holders. We get a free pint glass for showing up. We are in Cincy this weekend.

Have a safe and happy Mother’s Day Weekend.
