Second Place
Cheating, crooked Ken Paxton is the most corrupt candidate to be at the top of an election ticket in Texas in like forever. Democrats need to keep the focus on Paxton. Let’s not give the media anything else to write about like who has their feelings hurt. Let’s not blow this opportunity of a lifetime.

This really doesn’t surprise me. We have a lot going on in H-Town. See this from the Chron:
Houston was named the fifth-best city in the country to attend a conference or convention, according to a new ranking from U.S. News & World Report.
Houston was the top-ranked Texas city among the 52 cities analyzed as part of the first-ever report, which took into account each city’s available meeting space, affordability, accessibility, safety, sustainability, and appeal as a destination, as well as perspectives from industry experts. San Antonio was the only other Texas city to crack the top ten, with a ninth-place spot, while the top three spots went to Las Vegas, Chicago and Orlando.
The Bayou City’s two major airports, abundance of reasonably-priced hotels and entertainment scene contributed to its high ranking, U.S. News & World Report senior travel editor Elizabeth Von Tersch said in a statement. The city’s mild winters make it an especially attractive choice for first- and fourth-quarter conventions, according to the report.
“Beyond its practicality, the city’s unique entertainment options, from Astros games to rodeos, and renowned food scene provide plenty of appeal when professionals are off-the-clock as well,” Von Tersch said.
Phoenix is number 4 and New York City is number 6. We are also getting good reviews from visitors who are attending World Cup games here in H-Town. Nice job, H-Town.

Yesterday, the Astros sent me a renewal notice for my season tickets for next season. They also let me know that there will be no increase in ticket prices. I can’t remember the last time there wasn’t a price increase. I will take it.

The Astros won last night and are now in second place in the AL West. The last time we were sitting in second place was on April 8. We start a four-game series in Detroit this evening. The featured photo is to recognize getting back to second place and beyond.
