Souvenir Cups

BREAKING NEWS!! Birthright citizenship survives. The 14th Amendment is the 14th Amendment.

I have said it before. There is a process for amending the U.S. Constitution. You don’t do it with a press release.

The Chron E-Board likes to get viewpoints from all sides on the Chron opinion page. I get that. Sometimes though, quality suffers.  One of their MAGA Op-Ed contributors is talk show host Kenny Webster. The E-Board just put up a Webster hit piece on State Rep. James Talarico. Here it is: It was fun to pretend, but Talarico is going to lose his Senate race.

It is just a straight up trash piece on Talarico. There is no mention at all about the tons of baggage being carried by the cheating, crooked Ken Paxton. Paxton is the most corrupt candidate to ever lead a statewide major political party ticket in Texas. Nope.

Here is the sub-headline of the Op-Ed:

A primary season sugar high is crashing down to reality: Texans aren’t going to elect a weird lefty candidate for Senate.

The E-Board is allowing quality to suffer. Sad.

It will be Canada and Morocco in the Round of 16 this Saturday, July 4 at Reliant, err, Houston Stadium.

I did run into a handful of Japanese fans at Daikin Park last night.

The Astros sell some beer in souvenir cups, including at the Saint Arnold bar and kiosk. Some cups are in camo, some had a Fathers’ Day message, some are a tad patriotic, some had all the Astros jersey numbers that have been retired by the team, and some have various team logos of the past and present. Last night I got one that matched my Astros t-shirt. See the featured photo.

We lost last night and tonight is Dollar Dog Night
