I just saw the following in the Chron:

A Japan-based clothing retailer is headed to the Galleria in Houston, though an opening date has not been announced. 

Founded in 1949, Uniqlo is a clothing store that offers selections for both men, women and children, according to the company’s website. While no official announcement has been made about a location coming to the shopping mall, the words “coming soon” can be found under the store’s hours on the mall’s website. 

The clothing chain currently has more than 2,500 locations across the world. 

Uniqlo is expected to open the Houston location later this year, according to the company’s website. 

An official with the company did not immediately return requests for comment. 

I can’t remember the last time I went shopping at Galleria. I will say that Uniqlo is the outfit that has some naming rights at Dodger Stadium.

In anticipation of tonight’s game between Team USA and Belgium, I saw this tweet yesterday:

Usually it’s called soccer

But tomorrow night in Seattle, for one day only against Belgium

It’s called Monday Night Football.

Yep. Two host teams are now out. Canada lost this past Saturday at NRG. Mexico lost last night in Mexico City.

Go Team USA.

The Astros will only have one AL All-Star playing next week in Philly. Yordan Alvarez will start as the DH.

Orbit made it down to our seats this past weekend. See the featured photo. He handed out rubber baseballs and signed them. He also posed for pictures. He has a couple of assistants as his entourage.  After he left, I noticed a sharpie on the floor of the aisle. I picked it up and it was imprinted with “Orbit.” He has his own sharpie line. Cool. I gave it to a little girl who was sitting nearby.

I was at the game yesterday and decided to have a hot dog. It was only $2.50. Nice. Maybe they were having a special on hot dogs for the Fourth of July weekend.

We won yesterday and are 45-47. We start a six-game roadie this evening in D.C., play in Arlington this weekend, then it is the All-Star game break. We will play next at Daikin Park on Friday, July 17. We are still hanging in there.
