China Syndrome

Folks know I don’t watch the national Sunday morning talk shows. I made another exception yesterday to watch MAGA Gov. Greg Abbott get interviewed by ABC’s Jonathan Karl. It was the typical pathetic performance by Abbott. On the explosion of data centers in Texas, the data center cheerleading punkarse governor blamed the locals and the data center industry for the proliferation of the data centers. Pitiful. Abbott also said MAGA in Texas was running against Mamdani style candidates. You know, the DSA thing. Abbott certainly didn’t have the look of confidence and appeared rattled for sure.

The China Syndrome. Well, not really. U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz’s PAC started running attack ads against State Rep. James Talarico today. The attack focuses on China buying land in Texas and blames Talarico. Huh! See the featured photo.

If folks have a problem with China buying land in Texas, blame it on Abbott, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and MAGA. They have been running Texas for years now.

Cancun Cruz wants to put the China Syndrome ahead of high gasoline costs, inflation, affordability, Donald Trump’s Iran war, ICE thugs, data centers, and the $40 trillion national debt. Go on ahead.

Breaking News! The Astros have released General Manager Dana Brown. I am not surprised. I am guessing this past Saturday’s promotion was the straw that broke Orbit’s back. The team handed out Tatsuya Imai bobbleheads. Imai, who was signed by Brown, has been an $18 million bust this season.

The recent 9 game homie was also a bust. We only won 3 out of the 9 games.

This is as bad as it gets for the Astros, who blew a 6-run lead & lost to the A’s, 7-6, to fall back under .500.

The Astros went 3-6 on a homestand against the Mariners, Angels and A’s, losing 2 of three 3 to each. Now 20 of their final 31 games are against teams in contention.

We are off today and then travel to New York City for 6 games. 3 at Yankee Stadium and 3 at Citi Field.

Hard to believe that we are tied for first in the AL West.
