Disappointing Season

I don’t need to say much about the Wild Card Series over the last couple of days. You saw it. It pretty much mirrored the disappointing season of 2026.

When Joe Espada was named Astros manager after the 2023 season, he said he wanted to continue the team’s “winning culture.” A “winning culture” in my book is going deep into the playoffs. Espada has a 0-4 record in the playoffs.

We have a way to go before we return to the “winning culture” of a few seasons ago.

I have said it before. The Astros don’t listen to folks like Commentary. I am not going to expend a lot of energy on who should be the next general manager, should Espada stay, and what players need to be signed up, traded or released.

The featured photo needs no explaining. They played better baseball.
