Jerk in the Room
Breaking news from The Hill. See this:
The Democratic candidate for Texas Attorney General launched a seven-figure television ad buy on Monday amid signs of the party’s momentum in the red Lone Star State.
Nathan Johnson, a Democratic state senator, argues in the ad that “Texas could use a good lawyer” to replace current Attorney General Ken Paxton (R), the scandal-clad prosecutor who’s running in the state’s high-profile Senate race.
The 30-second spot focuses on a May interview with KHOU in which candidate Mayes Middleton, a Republican state senator and oil and gas executive, said he did not think the office had become too political.
“After 12 years of Ken Paxton in office, we need an Attorney General who will put the rule of law over politics and the public good over a personal agenda,” Johnson says in the ad, which is running statewide through Election Day, according to a release from the Democrat’s campaign.

This is very good news.

I was not surprised to see State Sen. Angela Paxton in an ad Saturday morning. MAGA is in desperation mode. MAGA polling must be showing that cheating, crooked Ken Paxton has a problem with women. In the ad, Sen. Paxton tells viewers it is ok to vote for the elephant, err jerk in the room. You can’t vote for him on biblical grounds, though. Pathetic.

Before the NFL season started last month, local sports pundits were touting the Texans as legitimate Super Bowl contenders. Nope. We are 0-4. The Buccaneers, Chargers, Dolphins, and Titans are also 0-4. I went to the game yesterday versus the Cowboys at Reliant Stadium. There were a lot of Cowboys fans in attendance, including the Tony Romo fan in the featured photo. She was joking about the latest Romo highlight video. Oh, well.
I saw a lot of different Cowboys jerseys at Reliant but no Eddie LeBaron, Bob Lilly, Don Meredith, or Roger Staubach jerseys.
0-4 is a deep hole to dig out from. A long row to hoe, so to speak.
