Governor-elect Gina Hinojosa will be leading our state government. It looks like State Rep. Senfronia Thompson will be Texas House Speaker-elect by the end of today.
It is a new day in Texas politics. It is a great day in Texas politics.
I said yesterday I was feeling it. I never thought it would feel this good.
The victory was so convincing, MAGA didn’t think about saying it was rigged. Across the board convincing.
A hard-core Latino Denver Harbor precinct went 78% for Gina Hinojosa. The Magnolia Park precinct where ICE murdered Lorenzo Salgado Araujo went 87% for Hinojosa. Other hard-core Latino East End precincts were 80% plus for Hinojosa.
It sure helped Leticia Gutierrez with her win in the redrawn 9th Congressional District.
My precinct in the Heights went 71% for Gina.
I have been saying that folks were tired of the Donald Trump, Gov. Greg Abbott, Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick, and MAGA BS.
We no longer have to put up with the likes of Ken Paxton, MAGA Mayes, Lt. Gov. Patrick, punkarse Vivek, Don Huffines, Mike Rogers, you get the picture.
The Texas statewide Democratic winners will now be putting together their staff. Good luck.
We can now relax knowing that the Texas legislature will not be enacting mean, hateful, and stupid policy over the next four years.
