Pride Parade
The sh_tshow coming out of Russia this past weekend certainly upended the news cycles. Commentary is not an expert on Russia internal politics, but seeing Vladimir Putin stumble badly is ok by me.

The hard copy of the Chron has another new look today. They are doing away with the page A3 City/State section. They will only have it on Sundays.

On What’s Your Point yesterday, host Greg Groogan, and the Breitbart and Urban Reform fellas were clearly disappointed with the Hunter Biden plea deal. Another panelist had to remind them that a Donald Trump appointed U.S. Attorney cut the deal.
The Breitbart fella also mentioned the state property tax we pay. We don’t have a state property tax. Knucklehead.

The H-Town Mayor tweeted this yesterday:
The State takeover of HISD is not about one school or 30 schools. This is a concerted attempt to take over public education in the largest district and those who run it while intentionally side stepping some schools which they dare not touch. This is a long term occupation.

Based on what I am reading it seems the State intends to take over HISD for the next 7 years. This raises even more questions.
The H-Town Mayor can run for governor in 2026. If he wins, we can get our HISD back quicker.

Commentary drove the John Whitmire for Mayor campaign vehicle during the Pride Parade this past Saturday. You must really pay attention when you are doing this. There is no time for checking the iphone gizmo, looking at the crowd, or waving at folks. It is two hands on the steering wheel all the time and keeping your eyes on the road.
At best you are going at 1 to 2 miles per hour. There is a lot of pausing and stopping. Campaign volunteers were walking in front, alongside and behind the vehicle. Some volunteers were darting in and out from side to side. I had to be on full alert.
It was hot out there. The only comfort was having the AC at full blast even though my window was rolled down in case someone had to communicate with me, which they did at times along the parade route.

We salvaged a win last night at Dodgers Stadium. We have today off.
