Chris Brown Endorses Whitmire

City Controller Chris Brown endorsed State Sen. John Whitmire for Houston mayor last night.  Here is part of what Controller Brown said:

“Houston has immense potential but also immense challenges. We need the right leader to take advantage of that potential.”

Controller Brown made the endorsement at a John Whitmire for Mayor Campaign fundraiser attended by a few hundred supporters at the Post Oak Hotel.

Chris Brown is the city’s Chief Financial Officer and is the most knowledgeable about fiscal matters in the city.  Having the city’s financial watchdog and the foremost expert on city of Houston finances endorse Whitmire sends a powerful message across this city.
