Luv Ya Loser
That has to be one of the NFL top bonehead gimmicks. Commentary is talking about the Texans beating the Oilers yesterday. Luv Ya Loser. When they were showing the fans dressed in Columbia blue looking agonized, I felt their pain. We have been there. I did feel kind of bad rooting against the Oilers. Heck, I still have an Oilers lid and sweatshirt from the real Oilers days. Now maybe they will retire the Columbia blue, the derrick on the helmet, and Luv Ya Blue. Way too funny.

Commentary never talks Friday Night Lights. The UIL State Finals in football were this past weekend. I will mention that Chron sports columnist Jerome Solomon had a feel good and upbeat column this past Saturday on the four coaches in the 6A Division I and Division II finals. Here is how the column starts:
History is made every year at state championship football games.
This year is particularly notable.
Area coaches Willie Gaston of North Shore and Kenny Harrison of Summer Creek have led their teams to AT&T Stadium in Arlington, where they will match wits against Duncanville’s Reginald Samples and DeSoto’s Claude Mathis, respectively.
The four head coaches in the Class 6A Division I and Division II state finals are Black, marking the first time Black coaches have faced off for the state football crown.
This is one of those occasions that is the sign of a new day.
Here is the entire column: Black head coaches meeting in both Class 6A finals a new day in Texas high school football (houstonchronicle.com).
Way to go! We need more new days.

I finished my Christmas shopping yesterday. Thank you, Memorial City Mall. I may have gone over budget a tad. The only thing I have left is to get Christmas Day grub like smoked salmon, prosciutto, asparagus, cheese, capers, a red onion, crackers, and of course, tamales. I have Saint Arnold Christmas Ale and red wine. On the red wine, I will go with a William Chris Artist Blend, a bottle of red called The Prisoner, a bottle of Gaia, it is a red blend from Argentina, and the Astros 2022 Championship Reserve, a cab.
Christmas Day is one week from today.
