Runoff Election Day
Welcome to the party, Metroplex. See this from CNN.com:
Powerful storms are delivering yet another round of violent weather to Texas on Tuesday after an almost unrelenting parade of destructive and sometimes deadly storms in recent weeks. Additional storms will pound more of the Southern Plains throughout the day.
Storms were roaring through the Dallas-Fort Worth metro early Tuesday morning, delivering hurricane-force wind gusts and stirring tornado fears. Dallas Fort Worth International Airport recorded a wind gust of 77 mph early Tuesday as power outages in the region started to skyrocket.
More than 650,000 customers in Texas were without power and that number continued to climb, according to PowerOutage.us. More than half of the outages were in Dallas County.
I feel your pain. Instead of worrying about the border, the GOP state leaders ought to worry about the weather these days. If you add up out power outages from 12 days ago, that’s over 1.5 million households and businesses losing power. That ain’t normal.

From BBC.com:
Pope Francis has apologized following reports that he used extremely derogatory language towards gay men.
A statement from the Vatican said the Pope did not mean to offend anyone and apologized to those who were “hurt by the use of a word”.
At the Italian Bishops’ Conference, the pope reportedly said gay men should not be allowed to train for the priesthood, adding there was already an air of frociaggine, which translates as a highly offensive slur.
This meeting was in private, but has been widely reported.
The translated word is the gay f slang word.
Oh, well.
