The Columbia Blue
It is cold today. I am heading to a mid-morning meeting. Other than that, I plan on staying in, staying warm this week, in the first real workweek of 2025.

According to KPRC Channel 2 News this morning, former Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg will serve as Senior Policy Advisor to Harris County Commissioner Precinct 3 Tom Ramsey. Oh, well.

I watched the Golden Globe Awards last night and I thought host Nikki Glaser did a darn good job. I was highly entertained. Zoe Saldaña snagged the first acting award of the evening and knocked it out of the park with an emotional acceptance speech that came from the heart. Demi Moore also delivered a superb acceptance speech after her win. Nice, job.

Commentary was a Luv Ya Blue diehard. I still have the Columbia Blue gear. See the featured photo. The Oilers never took us to the Super Bowl. There were two losses in the AFC Championship games in Pittsburgh. Don’t forget the embarrassing loss to the Bills. Heartbreaking losses for sure. Then they left us in 1996. Six years later we got the Texans.
I don’t understand what the Titans are doing by wearing the Columbia Blue. There was no significant team accomplishment to celebrate. Sure, there were future Hall of Fame greats back then like Earl Campbell and Warren Moon. Last season, the Titans wore the Columbia Blue against us, and we beat them. Ditto, yesterday. They need to put the Columbia Blue in permanent storage.

It’s a new opponent, but the same day and time for the Houston Texans when it comes to their playoff opener.
The NFL announced Sunday night that the Texans will host the Los Angeles Chargers at 3:30 p.m. Saturday at NRG Stadium in the AFC wild-card round. The game will be televised on CBS.
The Texans are making their eighth playoff appearance and each time, they have been placed in the Saturday afternoon window for their first game.
The only thing I can say is start winning games beyond the first round. Well, at least we are in the playoffs.

The Hallmark Channels Christmas flicks season is now over. I caught up with a few the past few days and still have some on my DVR gizmo.
