Present-Not-Voting
My State Representative and good friend, State Rep. Christina Morales, District 145, was one of the nine Texas House Democrats who vote present-not-voting in the race for Texas House Speaker. I don’t have a problem with how she voted. I think most Democratic Party Primary voters in HD 145 don’t have a problem with how she voted in the Speaker’s race.
Houston State Reps. Alma Allen and Charlene Ward Johnson also voted present-not-voting.

Today is the third day of the Texas Legislative Session. The House sent a delegation over to the Senate to let them know they were ready for business. The Senate did likewise. To date, neither chamber has named committees. The House rules will be adopted next week. The Senate has adjourned and will get back to work next Wednesday, January 22. Got it?

The Texans play the Chiefs at Arrowhead in a couple of days. Spring Training starts next month. Let’s not overlook that we are nearly at the halfway point of the NBA regular season and the Rockets have the fourth best record in the NBA.
Speaking of the Chiefs-Texans game this weekend, I wonder if Vegas has an over-under for how many times ABC/ESPN will cut to shots of Taylor Swift.
That is all I have.
