Bregman Departure

Sorry for the delay. Something came up.

Commentary generally refrains from discussing the ongoing turmoil and corruption in Washington, D.C. While I stay informed, I prefer to let others express their concerns. Yesterday, the new Attorney General announced charges against the New York Governor and New York Attorney General related to immigration matters. However, it was later clarified that the Attorney General was planning to file a lawsuit, which is a significant distinction.

_____

Alex Bregman has had an impressive career with 99 playoff games, 4 World Series appearances, 2 World Series rings, 19 postseason dingers, and 54 postseason RBIs. He is a two-time All-Star, AL MVP runner-up, and a Gold Glove and Silver Slugger Award winner. Bregman played 1,111 regular season games with the Houston Astros. It was reported last night that he signed with the Boston Red Sox.

Alex’s contributions have been instrumental to our success over the past eight seasons. He made his MLB debut on July 25, 2016, at The Yard against the Yankees. Jose Altuve and the recovering Lance McCullers, Jr. are now the only remaining Astros from the 2017 World Series championship team.

It will be unusual not to see Alex Bregman at third base on Opening Day. We look forward to visiting Alex at Fenway Park on August 1 and welcoming him back to Daikin Park on Monday, August 8. Alex Bregman will be greatly missed.

Additionally, Julia Morales tweeted earlier today:

Hey, everyone. How is everyone feeling?

Too funny.
