Two Weeks
When my parents were having to deal with health issues in their later years, our family stepped up to look after them. I have a friend who just had her mother move into my friend’s home so she could better take care of her. This is what families are supposed to do.
With the resources the late Gene Hackman and his wife had, I don’t know why they didn’t have anyone checking in on them. It is quite puzzling if you ask Commentary.

On “What’s Your Point” yesterday, panelist Gary Polland said that the special election to fill the vacancy in the 18th Congressional District of Texas would likely be held in November. I wonder if Gary has inside knowledge.

The Battleship Texas will now have a permanent home. Pier 15 in Galveston. She will probably get more visitors than she got over at the San Jacinto Battleground. We will see.

It is March, so that means the madness is here. We will see how long the madness lasts in these parts.

Donald Trump doesn’t seem to mind that his actions might lead us into a recession. That is when the USA will experience economic decline. I will say it again. That is what folks voted for.

Injuries are about the only thing I watch during Spring Training. I don’t want to see one of our key players get sidelined. I have paid a bit of attention to our top prospect Cam Smith. We acquired Smith as part of the Kyle Tucker trade with the Cubbies. Smith is 8-for-13 this spring with two dingers, a triple and 7 RBIs. If he is good enough, it would be cool to see him in the Opening Day starting lineup.
MLB baseball returns to The Yard two weeks from today and I am ready as in the featured photo.
