On Yordan

Diddy or didn’t he. I guess he did on two of the charges and didn’t on the other three. We will know this afternoon if he is released from jail. If he is released, will fellow celebs continue to hang with him. Probably. Come on now. We are in an era where January 6 insurrectionists were pardoned. Anything goes, I guess.

I am thinking that on this July 2, 2025, two days before the Fourth, Diddy will get his freedom.

Chron columnist Joy Sewing has written two columns recently on nightlife problems that two neighborhoods grapple with. Third Ward and the Washington Avenue corridor folks have to deal with noise, trash, congestion, fights, you get the picture.  I live in the Heights and some parts of the Heights face similar challenges. My neighborhood is pretty much in the clear. It should stay that way for the foreseeable future.

Villa Arcos breakfast and lunch tacos are getting some run in the hard copy of the Chron today. They are opening mini locations on OST and in Channelview. It has been years since I had a Villa Arcos breakfast taco. My choice for breakfast tacos is Chilosos. They are delicious. They have a variety of choices. Plus, they are just a few blocks from my house. I run over, place an order, bring them home and voila.

147. That’s the most games Yordan Alvarez has played in a 162-game season. That was last season, 2024. He has been an Astro since 2019. This season he has only played in 29 games. Now we got word yesterday that his dinged-up hand is not healing and he is still out indefinitely. See the featured photo from today’s Chron.

We still don’t know when Jeremy Peña will be back in the starting line-up.

We won last night in Denver.
