Abbott Loses It
Commentary said this yesterday about Gov. Greg Abbott threatening Texas State House Democrats:
What are you waiting on you moron. Go to court and get them tossed, then call 51 special elections. Tough guy, my arse.
I guess Abbott’s folks read my Commentary. See the featured photo.
See this from the Trib:
Attorney General Ken Paxton, who threatened to file similar legal actions earlier in the day against multiple House Democrats, followed Abbott’s emergency petition by sending his own letter to the state Supreme Court hours later, in which he argued that Abbott lacked the authority to request the removal.
Paxton wrote that while he “appreciates the Governor’s passion” for restoring a quorum, state law permits only the attorney general or a local county or district attorney to bring what’s known as a quo warranto proceeding, which seeks a member’s removal on the grounds that they have abandoned their office.
In the letter, Paxton said he would take action against the absent legislators if the House continued to lack a quorum on Friday, the deadline set by House Speaker Dustin Burrows.

It looks like Abbott is losing it. Getting schooled on the law by the cheating, crooked Ken Paxton says a lot.
Elected officials are removed from office in this country for corruption, bribery, getting convicted of serious crimes, or major ethical violations. Elected officials are not removed from office for fighting the good fight and standing up for their constituents. Abbott is coming off like a third-rate dictator. Abbott is not living in your reality or mine. He has lost it. His brain has been corrupted. He’s like a child constantly and annoyingly seeking the attention of his daddy, in this case, Donald Trump. Abbott is doing his darndest to take Texas politics to its lowest point in history. Very sad indeed.
Not to be outdone to be lower than rat droppings, see this from the Chron:
U.S. Sen. John Cornyn urged the FBI on Tuesday to “aid in Texas state law enforcement efforts to locate or arrest” the Texas House Democrats who have fled the state to stop the GOP’s redistricting effort.
“The FBI has tools to aid state law enforcement when parties cross state lines, including to avoid testifying or fleeing a scene of a crime,” Cornyn said in a letter to FBI director Kash Patel. “Specifically, I am concerned that legislators who solicited or accepted funds to aid in their efforts to avoid their legislative duties may be guilty of bribery or other public corruption offenses.”
I try to look at it this way. On the evening of Tuesday, March 3, 2026, cheating, crooked Paxton or Jubilation T. Cornpone will be looking for a new gig.
