My first reaction yesterday to the Supreme Court ruling on the New York gun case was welcome to Texas, America.  There is nothing good going to come from this.

This morning the Supreme Court overturned Roe, 5 to 4. There is nothing good going to come from this either.

I prepared the rest of today’s take last night. At this moment it all feels meaningless.

Yesterday was the third day of Early Voting in Person for the Harris County GOP, Precinct 4 Chair runoff and nobody has voted yet. 11 mail ballots have been mailed to voters, but none returned.

We have met the Yankees in the playoffs three times.  You know that. We have advanced all three times we have played them in the playoffs.

Since you asked. We are 14-14 in playoff series wins and losses.

Our best record is against the Yankees, 3-0 (2015, 2017, 2019).

1-0 against the A’s (2020).

1-0 against Cleveland (2018).

1-0 against the Twins (2020).

2-1 against the Red Sox (2017, 2018, 2021).

1-1 against the Dodgers (1981, 2017).

1-1 against the Rays (2019, 2020).

1-1 against San Luis (2004, 2005).

1-1 against the White Sox (2005, 2021).

2-4 against The ATL (1997, 1999, 2001, 2004, 2005, 2021).

0-1 against the Mets (1986).

0-1 against the Nationals (2019).

0-1 against the Padres (1998)

0-1 against the Phillies (1980).

0-1 against the Royals (2015).

Losses like the one last night in the Bronx are going to happen.  That is all I have to say.
