Texas Polls
Remember when I posted this a few weeks ago:
This is from the Chronicle back in mid-December of last year:
Gov. Greg Abbott is prepared to pour $25 million into his effort to turn Harris County — a Democratic stronghold he lost by 10 percentage points in 2022 — “dark red” as he seeks a record fourth term in office, according to details of the plan shared with Hearst Newspapers.
As part of that, the Texas Republican is planning to target House Democrats there with messaging on crime, bail restrictions and property taxes, key planks of his reelection pitch. The governor recruited Republican candidates to run in every state House seat in the county, including some where the GOP has not had a candidate on the ballot in years. And he’s hired a consultant based in Houston, Jessica Colón, to help coordinate their efforts.
“Governor Abbott is going on the offensive in Harris County, a key battleground for the state,” said Eduardo Leal, press secretary for the governor’s campaign. “Governor Abbott’s mission is clear: to keep Texas affordable, safe and prosperous.”
The election is in 47 days. I am not seeing or feeling a $25 million Abbott campaign here in Harris County. As you can see in the featured photo, I am ready for battle.
On a related note. Ten of millions of dollars in negative ads are being run against State Rep. James Talarico. In his ads, MAGA Gov. Greg Abbott is attacking local government and Democrats. Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick is attacking his opponent, little known State Rep. Vicki Goodwin. But hey, don’t believe the current Texas polls that have statewide Democratic candidates seriously competing. Got it.

Remember when MAGA claimed former President Joe Biden was too old and feeble. These same MAGA knuckleheads are eerily silent about zombie U.S. Sen. Mitch McConnell. Sad.
Public Notice just said this about zombie McConnell:
“McConnell would never be allowed to drive a car, babysit young children, or file his own taxes. Why, then, should a cognitively incapacitated 82-year-old retain one of the most important positions of power within the national government?”
I agree.

Local media personality Charlie Pallilo tweeted this:
For the first time since September 2014 Jose Altuve is not a career .300 hitter.
We lost last night and are now tied for first in the AL West. 10 games left to play. If you are going to Daikin Park today, it is a 6 pm start.
