Six Games

On “What’s Your Point?” yesterday, the first two segments were about the property tax increase over at the Harris County Commissioners Court. Moderator Greg Groogan was leading the charge against the tax increase and hopes to get voters to remember this when early voting begins on Monday, October 19, which is four weeks from today.

I don’t know how much impact the tax increase will have on the election in Harris County this November. I don’t think voters who will support State Reps. James Talarico and Gina Hinojosa will vote against Commissioners Lesley Briones and Adrian Garcia. A Talarico and Hinojosa voter will also not support Orlando Sanchez for Harris County Judge.

On a related note, I should be getting my mail ballot soon.

MAGA racist Bo French said this in on Saturday about his racist post from last week:

“The outrage was shocking to me. These are things that Donald Trump has been talking about. These are things leaders in our party have been talking about.”

French is right about this. Going viciously after immigrants is a MAGA thing. Yep.

On the latest Sydney Sweeney ad. I have seen them pop up on my social media feeds the past couple of weeks. I have watched the ads around a couple of dozen times. I have no idea what she is hawking. Just saying.

The featured photo is from Friday night at Daikin Park at the Saint Arnold hangout. Folks put a bunch of hot dogs in front of this fella, and he had a few minutes to scarf them down. I think he only consumed about 7 dogs.

Atlanta swept the series this weekend at Daikin Park. We were pitiful. We are in second place in the AL West, 1 game behind. Our final six games are in Seattle and Sacramento. The Astros didn’t play this weekend like they wanted to be in the playoffs. I am not ready to say that yesterday was the last game I attended at Daikin Park in 2026. They are woefully lacking in clutch and situational hitting. They don’t look like playoff contenders. Oh, well. We have today off. Six games left.
