The January 6 Committee laid out dramatic images of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and other congressional leaders from behind the scenes on that day.  The committee then voted to subpoena Donald Trump.  Trump was shown to be the biggest coward in American history.  Think about it. GOP elected officials and candidates, including Alex Meaner, bow down to this cowardly fu_k.

A tweet from my pal Kris Banks yesterday on the Chron E-Board endorsement of Meaner:

I was once a reporter, and I would find out what the ed board did by reading the paper. Everyone talking about canceling their @HoustonChron   subscription because of one bad section, please don’t. Local journalism is essential to democracy and we need our Chron reporters

Being 2-0 in the ALDS does not surprise Commentary. The way we got to 2-0 also isn’t surprising.  It has just been so much fun and exciting.

Yordan Alvarez is the 1st player in MLB postseason history with multiple go-ahead HRs in the 6th inning or later with their team trailing.

And this:

Alvarez has 7 RBI, tied for 2nd-most of any player in MLB history through their first two games in a postseason and is 4th player in Astros history to homer in the first 2 games of a postseason.

Astros manager Dusty Baker on the intentional walk to Alvarez: “Well, I thought about Barry Bonds. I mean, that was some Barry Bonds-type stuff there. I mean, that’s the ultimate respect.”

I get that they intentionally walked Yordan.  Facing Alex Bregman is not easy though and the Mariners paid.

It goes without saying that the pressure is on the Mariners this weekend.
