The Dean, State. Sen. John Whitmire, recently was described in a story as a “Democratic stalwart.” In case you needed to know what stalwart means, here you go: loyal, reliable, and hardworking.
The fella who quit the mayoral race yesterday, during last fall’s general election, kept trying to call out The Dean on The Dean’s Democratic Party cred. He continued his baiting of The Dean this year.
The Dean is a Democratic stalwart for sure. He is still in the race for mayor.

H-Town East End residents lost a close vote at Houston Metro yesterday on a 5-3 board vote involving a proposed controversial route. The fella who quit the mayoral race is on the Metro board and he missed the vote yesterday.

My plan is to make a couple of visits to see family and friends on Easter Sunday. I don’t know if I will run into peeps. I don’t have a problem with peeps. If I see one on Sunday, I certainly will partake.
How did folks start using the term peeps as followers. Folks who read Commentary are certainly not my peeps.
Have a safe and happy Easter Sunday Weekend.
