Josh Hader

The featured photo is my green bin this morning. It has been sitting out there since Thursday. Still waiting to get emptied.

In 2022, right after the Uvalde Robb Elementary massacre, the Texas Breitbart fella on Fox 26’s What’s Your Point praised the courage of law enforcement on the scene. We all know that was not true. Yesterday, host Greg Groogan, referred to the Robb Elementary law enforcement response as cowardly.  The Texas Breitbart fella still couldn’t muster up the courage to agree with Groogan. Now that is what I call cowardly. What a knucklehead.

The two-bit punkarse Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis didn’t even make it to the first GOP primary. Tough guy for sure.

Here is a good tweet I saw yesterday on his exit:

Trump is facing criminal trials & civil judgments up and down the Eastern seaboard. For serial business fraud, sexual assault, affair hush money, stealing nuclear secrets and overthrowing democracy itself. DeSantis ignores all that for “he doesn’t hate gay folks as much as I do.”

Hating the LGBTQ+ community, going after “Beauty and the Beast,” “Pocahontas,” and “Aladdin,” and banning books didn’t get him the any traction in his GOP run.

Hey chump, you gotta go after Trump! Go home.

The Texans are out of the NFL playoffs. They just couldn’t get anything going in the second half. It is now down to four teams. I have to root for the Detroit Lions because they have never been to a Super Bowl. I will be rooting for the Chiefs for obvious reasons.

The Astros signed reliever Josh Hader to a five-year deal on Friday.

From the Chron:

The Astros’ big offseason splash came Friday, with a reported agreement on a five-year, $95 million deal with left-hander Josh Hader, the top relief pitcher on the free-agent market.

And this:

Hader is not lacking in accolades. He’s been a five-time All-Star and three-time winner of the Trevor Hoffman NL Reliever of the Year award named after the Padres’ Hall of Fame closer. Hader also has been a first-team selection on the All-MLB team in 2019, 2021 and 2023. He finished seventh in NL Cy Young Award voting in 2018 with Milwaukee.

We actually got Hader and another player in a trade from Baltimore in 2013 for Bud Norris. Then we traded him in 2015 with a few other players to the Brewers for Mike “The Rat” Fiers and Carlos Gomez. Hader never made it to the bigs in the Astros organization.

Got it?

Opening Day for the Astros is 66 days from today.
