Kevin!
This past Christmas season commercial TV viewers probably saw award winning actress Catherine O’Hara reprise her role as Kevin McCallister’s mom from the “Home Alone” flicks. It was in a Chase Bank ad with actor Kevin Hart. She yells out “Kevin” when she can’t find Kevin. A funny ad.
If you are fan of “Home Alone,” you got plenty of laughs from Kevin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern and John Candy.
If you are fan of Kevin Hart, you have gotten plenty of laughs from his flicks and stand-up shows.
Add Kevin McCarthy to the list of Kevins to get laughs from. As in major yuks, yuks. Commentary is certainly no fan of Kevin McCarthy, but he and his fellow cast members Lauren Boebert, Matt Gaetz, Jim Jordan, and Chip Roy, certainly provided me with plenty of laughs and yuks yesterday.
Nobody that Commentary hangs with likes Kevin McCarthy. He’s a worm. A cockroach. A liar. A slimeball.
Heck, he even gets trashed big time on Fox News. He must be sleaze.
Over the last dozen or so years, the GOP has embraced racists, white supremacists, extremists, domestic terrorists, and insurrectionists.
What happened yesterday on the U.S. House floors didn’t surprise Commentary. In a way, the GOP asked for it and got it. Big time.
It is way too funny.
On one side of the aisle, you saw very disciplined Democratic House members, ready to go to work. On the other side of the aisle there were three train wrecks in slow motion.
Then it was reported that McCarthy had his stuff moved into the Speakers Office. That is hilarious.
Kevin may end up getting to be Speaker, but he has suffered major humiliation. He’s the joke of the nation this morning.
It was certainly entertaining and funny TV yesterday afternoon. All that was needed was a laugh track in the background. I have to give it to the Democratic members for staying disciplined and not rolling all over the House Floor in uncontrollable laughter.
