Savannah in Studio 1A
Savannah Guthrie visited Studio 1A yesterday in a very emotional return. There were plenty of hugs. Here is what she had to say to her colleagues:
“I wanted you to know that I’m still standing, and I still have hope, and I’m still me. And I don’t know what version of me that will be, but it will be.”
And this:
“I’m holding onto my faith. I still believe. And as my mom would say, ‘Where else would I go?'”.
And this:
“I have every intention of coming back. I don’t know how to come back, but I don’t know how not to. You’re my family. And I would like to try.”
Dylan Dreyer then led the group in a brief prayer with this:
“We’re here holding hands as a family, in a place where we don’t understand why this is happening. It is not too bold to ask God for the biggest miracles every day.”

Commentary said this a couple of days ago:
I thought former H-Town Mayor Annise Parker would win without a runoff in her race for Harris County Judge. Nope. She is in a runoff.
Annise picked up 46.6% of the vote.
Former H-Town Council Member Letitia Plummer got 37.3%.
In the runoff for Harris County Judge, Plummer could be aided by several local runoffs with African American candidates. First and foremost is the new gerrymandered CD 18 that longer has my neighborhood.
The State Board of Education District 7 runoff has an African American candidate. The HD 131 runoff has two African Americans. The HD 149 runoff has one. The Harris County District Clerk runoff has one and the 209th State District Judge runoff has one.
Clearly an advantage for Plummer, just saying.

The scumbag MAGA Cong. Tony Gonzales is dropping out of his reelection race. I guess he thought since Donald Trump of Epstein files fame could get away with it, so could he. That is not how MAGA world works.
Kristi Noem is out. We won’t be seeing her in the ads anymore. I guess now she can spend more time with Corey.
Cheating, crooked Ken Paxton is trying to stay in his runoff race while Trump of Epstein files fame is thinking about endorsing John Cornyn. That is how MAGA world works.
I have said it before. MAGA world gave up any hope of a shot at the moral high ground a long, long time ago.

Daikin Park will host the Pool B schedule of the World Baseball Classic starting at noon today. Brazil, Great Britain, Italy, Mexico, and USA are the five Pool B teams. Ten Pool B games will be played at Daikin Park over the next six days.
Great Britain and Mexico play at 12 noon today. Brazil and Team USA play at 7 pm this evening.
Brazil and Italy play at noon tomorrow. Great Britain and Team USA play at 7 pm tomorrow evening.
Great Britain and Italy play at 12 noon this Sunday. Brazil and Mexico play at 7 pm Sunday evening.
If it doesn’t rain, I hope they will have the roof open.
